29th GTE: Bigger space, better exhibits attract more visitors

29th GTE Bigger space better exhibits attract moreThe 29th edition of the Garment Technology Expo, one of India's largest events for apparel technology, received a tremendous response from exhibitors and visitors alike. The show, held from August 2 to 4, 2019 at Gandhinagar, was attended by stakeholders from Gujarat and neighboring states. Owners, CEOs, MDs and production heads of garment companies, who attended the show, compared and negotiated deals for new machinery, materials, latest product launches and new innovations. GTE focused on new innovations, product launches and upgrades, live demonstrations, new materials, etc. It displayed sewing, knitting, embroidery, hosiery, quilting and digital textile machines from various reputed textile machinery manufacturers.

Opportunity to expand reach, network

Terming the fair as excellent, Ricky Sahni, Jt Managing29th GTE Bigger space better exhibits attract more visitors Director, GTE, said this was the second edition of the fair in Gujarat. The first edition was held at Ahmedabad university ground. This first edition faced infrastructural issues. “However, no such problems were faced in the second edition which was organised in helipad grounds. There was enough space for exhibitors. Though, the venue was far from the city, we still participated as the show is known worldwide for its excellence in the garment machinery exhibitions,” he said.

Anil Anand, President, HCA noted the fair helps his company to expand reach. “Without these fairs, it will become more difficult for us to reach out to the industry. Ultimately, you have to have a display for your product. Mostly, people from Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan attend this event,” he said.

Serious visitor turnout

Anurag Billore, Area Sales Manager, Range O Tec, a sublimation printing company, hailed the visitor turnout as he said, “We got good queries with customers being genuinely interested in our offerings. The show proves to be a good platform for branding and publicity in the machinery segment. “We take part in every fair GTE organises whether it’s Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore or Ahmadabad. Depending on our products and the area we wish to expand, we will keep participating in further editions also,” he summed up.
