India’s official body of apparel exporters, Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) will participate in three international fairs in July and August this year.
As per an Apparel Resources report, these three fairs include ‘Pure London’ in Pure Origin at Olympia London, UK from July 17-19, 2022; India Tex Trend Fair (ITTF) in Tokyo, Japan from July 20-22, 2022 and Sourcing at Magic in Las Vegas, US from August 07-10, 2022.
US, UK and Japan together had a share of more than 38 per cent of India’s total apparel exports market, valuing $6.8 billion in calendar year 2021. UK imports from India in 2021 totaled $1,092.1 million, registering a growth of 12.6 per cent.
Indian apparel exports to the US totaled $4,497.3 million in 2021 registering a growth of more than 40 per cent compared with last year. Japan emerged as the third largest importer with knitted garments dominating imports.
