Blenders Pride Fashion Tour in Hyderabad kicked off with a runway show by S&N by Shantanu Nikhil followed by one by Amit Aggarwal.
The event also featured an interactive T-shirt exhibition. S&N by Shantanu Nikhil presented a preppy, sportswear-inspired collection on the runway to kick off the fashion week on November 30. With tennis-style separates mixed with drapes and more streetwear-style garments, the collection was youthful and wearable.
Amit Aggarwal was next on the bill and showcased a classic occasion wear collection with architect NuruKarim on December 1. With voluminous evening dresses and lashings of sparkle, the collection explored the theme of pride in a sustainable fashion.
Bollywood celebrity Janhvi Kapoor turned showstopper for the designer and walked the runway in a tangerine lehenga featuring subtle glitter and youthful details. There was an exhibit of T-shirt outfits designed by over 60 designers and homegrown fashion labels, who have embellished or even deconstructed the basic T-shirt into a design celebrating their authentic interpretation of pride.
The style gallery exhibit was constructed with undertones of sustainability, using recycled materials, which puts into action the fashion tour’s pursuit of becoming more sustainable and eco-friendly. A booth enabled visitors to interact with the fashion tour’s metaverse avatar.
