Indya to open in Nepal

 07 December 2022, Mumbai

Indya is opening a store in Nepal. Known for its traditional style kurtas and lehengas, this women’s ethnic wear brand targets shoppers ranging from Gen Z to millennials and beyond. The Nepal store will launch with a velvet kurta collection of jewel toned winter sets as well as other seasonal festive wear collections.

Indya, a part of New Delhi-based fashion house High Street Essentials, was born out of a thought to modernize ethnic fashion by considering the evolving lifestyle and needs of the new-age woman. Indya has since grown to become one of India’s leading omnichannel fashion brands. Besides retailing in the country through its website, online marketplaces, 400 shop-in-shops and 32 exclusive brand stores, the brand also serves a robust international market that currently contributes to 18 per cent of its total revenue.

Indya also recently launched a collaborative collection with fashion designer Payal Singhal. The collection features Singhal’s signature bold, bohemian florals on maxi skirts and ethnic details such as subtle mirror work and trims on cropped blouses. Designed for the winter festive season, the line is designed to have ample options for guests attending winter weddings.

High Street Essentials launched in 2012 also runs women’s western wear brand FabAlley and plus size brand Curve.
