Shoppers in India opt for long-lasting ecological clothing, says Uniqlo

Uniqlo claims, Indian shoppers are opting for long-lasting, ecological clothing over mass-produced fast fashion items. As a part of its expansion strategy, the brand has announced plans to open its first store outside Delhi NCR in Lucknow. The store will open at Lulu Malll this July. It will take the brand’s concept of functional and high-quality clothing to the largest city of Uttar Pradesh. Spread across 9,265 sq. ft, the new store will offer customers in the city with a new shopping experience. It will be the brand’s seventh store in India.
The store will offer entire range of Spring/Summer products for men, women, kids and babies, such as the innovative and functional AIRism, DRY-EX, UV protection, as well as products featuring premium fabrics, including linen, supima cotton, rayon, etc.
In addition, the new store will continue Uniqlo India’s Good Neighborhood Guide endeavor to highlight the hidden gems of local neighborhoods. The initiative will showcase local community efforts both at the store and online. The company will present the home and personal care brand, ‘Mitti Se,’ which believes in naturally derived, non-toxic, and biodegradable products made using sustainable and zero-waste manufacturing processes.
