Students at the Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) from across the country launched their collection, titled ‘Converge’, at the Bangalore Times Fashion Week (BGTFW). The collection saw Indian heritage and culture come alive on the ramp with innovative styles. Inspired by Indian traditional arts, crafts, design and culture from the colors and prints of Rajasthan to Warli paintings and the heritage of Charminar -- it was India in its purest form.
The students were from ATDC centers from the northern, eastern, western and southern regions of India. They showcased their talent and skills in combining design and craft with innovative styles of their region in the form of creative ensembles through ten different sequences at BGTFW.
Transgender models walked the ramp. ATDC is devoted to ending discrimination and violence against transgender people through skill development education by supporting gender-diverse youth through skill training in the apparel sector and giving them a platform in the fashion world.
ATDC is India’s largest quality vocational training provider for the apparel industry, with around 200 centers spread across 23 states.
