Blackberrys plans to restore retail identity

Menswear brand Blackberrys will soon introduce a fresh retail identity for its parent brand Blackberrys and two other brands Urban (denim brand) and Casual (Khaki brand). The new identity, being developed by Bangalore-based design agency Four Dimensions, will adopt a primary colour palette of brown and light beige, which was earlier dominated by black.

It will open a number of brick and mortar retail outlets for its three brands by the end of the current fiscal year. The first store opening for the Casual brand is planned for Kochi at Lulu Mall. The Urban store at Bengaluru’s Garuda Mall will also be revamped and re-opened next month to showcase the new brand identity.

The men’s formal wear brand Blackberrys has two subsidiary brands Urban, which specialises in denim apparel, and Casual, which specialises in Khakis and will be launching soon. The three brands will all undergo a revamp in order to refresh their image and keep up with the current retail landscape.

Blackberry reported a turnover of Rs 720 crore in the previous fiscal. It operates around 205 standalone company operated stores. It is looking at opening 70 more outlets in this fiscal.
