Kerala-based traditional and occasion wear brand Label’M turns 10 years, launched in 2009 to celebrate South India’s textile and garment heritage and the brand has come to specialise in South Indian bridal wear. Label’M has reopened its Calicut store. The brand also runs the label Mannath, which retails casual ethnic wear such as cotton kurta tops and retails both lines from its dedicated e-commerce store. Label’M designs, as couture pieces, need to be pre-ordered. Label’M is known for its designs, vivid colors, intricate handwork and opulent fabrics.
Mannath opened in 2007 and Label’M in 2012. Label’M offers a wide variety of lehengas, gowns, anarkalis, saris and straight cut tops. Mannath has ethnic wear. While bridal designs and party wear outfits are brought to life through Label’M, the elegance of kurtis and unstitched salwars is brought out through Mannath.
Label’M has six flagships, all in Kerala. The new store in Calicut features an array of pastel hues and glittering details on lehengas, saris, and kurta sets designed for summer festivities. The store also has a comprehensive bridal section. The store’s interior features a gold ceiling, custom gold filigree wallpaper, and a yellow and deep brown color palette. Warm lighting illuminates Label’M’s designs.
