Be it shoes or bags, Liberty always follows its style statement of being comfortable and trendy. The brand, which offers around 522 women’s footwear varieties, 890 men footwear options and around 154 kid’s footwear styles, has launched an ultra-modern collection of bags and shoes. “This collection offers styles for all occasions, whether it is for the festive season, a party, a date or work. The collections also offers a lot of bold and bright colors like corals, lime greens, gold, earth tones, etc,” notes Anupam Bansal, Director-Retail of the brand.
People are becoming more adventurous and experimental with new colors and designs. “Colors like Pantone, Salmon rose pinks, Champagne gold, ivory, coral etc, add an extra oomph this season, making customers stand apart in a crowd,” adds Bansal. Designs such as classics, fall florals, animal prints, embroidery, feathers are ruling.
Increasing brand’s fashion quotient
“People are also becoming more conscious about their overall look, whether it is shoes they plan to wear or the bag which plan to carry,” notes Bansal.” Each brand, that comes into the market, offer certain distinctive features. “With some new products that we have recently introduced, we see the fashion quotient also increasing.”
Liberty recently launched an elegant extravagant collection of bags. “The collection comprises of varied products in different categories such as backpack, sling bag, laptop bag, tod back, trolley and travel bag,” adds Bansal
The brand has around 500 outlets across India, primarily located in UP, Bihar and Jharkhand. It aims for a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore in the next two years. “We will be opening about 100 stores in Tier II, III and IV townsevery year and strengthening distribution for wider reach in multi-brand stores,” adds Bansal.
A name synonymous with freedom
Liberty, a brand to reckon is synonymous with freedom or the state of being independent and free. The brand recently launched a new initiative ‘In The Name Of Liberty’ to exemplify the current scenario. The initiative takes examples from everyday life like racism, gender inequality, disrespectful behaviour towards women, etc. To showcase this, Liberty Shoes shot a short film and joined hands with renowned singer and lyricist Piyush Mishra for the campaign. The campaign’s strong and subtle music is by indi band Indian Ocean. Expression and execution is led by Barun Prabhakar, Marketing Head, Liberty Shoes who believes in visualising the current scenario and changing mindsets through self-realisation. Prabhakar explains, “There is a very thin line between using and miss-using our freedom in the name of Liberty but the impact is vast.”
“We are planning to expand the visibility of this initiative through digital media and cinema. As a responsible brand Liberty launched this initiative to be the change they want to see because freedom’ is a right and liberty is a conscious effort.”
