Textile ministry clears 'Geo-Textile Application' pilot projects in infrastructure projects

25th October 2021, Mumbai:

The Ministry of Textiles (Mot) has given a nod in the infrastructure projects (roads. highways, railways, water resources) to the Pilot Project waiting in the wings on skilling of Design/ Commissioning technical personnel related to the application of geo-textiles.

The Ministry of Textiles (Mot) is to team up with the pilot projects together with IISc, Bangalore, IIT-Madras, and IIT Roorkee, the government agencies report.

The Faculty mandated to coordinate the respective fields of Engineering has to look after the execution side of the specific/ requisite courses in close co-od with the other related centers.

The fundamental construct goes like this; Single batch shall comprise a range of 75 to 100 candidates. Whilst the pilot phase, 2 batches are designated singularly out of the 3 assigned Institutes. Furthermore, in the persuasion of the skill development special course has to undergo scrutiny & a review by the constituted Directorate or the Ministry of Textiles (Mot).
