Weaves 2018: Emerges as a platform for Indian weavers to showcase globally

Single point of textile sourcing

Texvalley is an integrated textile market, first of its kind in South India. It is an initiative by the government of India with the support of the government of Tamil Nadu to help weavers in this cluster elevate to the next level. The market represents the southern states textile activities, which has grown in terms of value, volume and variety over the decades. It houses domestic textile zone and export zone with a complete eco-system of business ethics, compliance and certifications. It has thus become a single point of textile sourcing for domestic and global market.

Visitors at Weaves will include garment exporters, manufacturers, agents, domestic and international brands, fabric wholesalers, fabric processing houses, retail chains & boutiques, designers and architects, government procurement officers, online brands, fabric importers, interior designers and architects, freelance designers, powerloom / autoloom owners & weavers, Federation of India Export Organisations, Retailers Association of India, Members of SIHMA, AMI, FIEO, GGMA, GWMA & SIGA

Weaves will host 250 stalls spread over 20,000 sq. mt. pavilion. The event will offer an opportunity to interact with national and global buyers and top textile industry leaders. They will be able access new technologies and machinery. The event will comprise business desk to answer queries related to new business possibilities. It will also offer opportunities for trade association tie-ups

The conferences at Weaves will focus on topics like: ‘Need for Consolidation of Fabric Manufacturing’; ‘Cooptition’ - Cooperating While Competing - Aggregator Business Growth Module’; ‘Forecast Enabled Product Design and Value Addition for Fabrics & Garments’ and ‘Compliance Strategy for Marketing Development.’
