In a major move to strengthen its digital-first approach, Khadim India has successfully migrated its 260-store network to the Fynd Store OS, marking the full-scale expansion of a partnership initiated in 2022. This integration consolidates store operations, CRM support, and marketplace commerce onto a single unified platform. By synchronizing its Retail Management System (RMS) with Fynd’s technology, the footwear major is achieving smoother order processing and real-time inventory visibility across its nationwide touchpoints.
Operational autonomy and marketplace synergy
The implementation shifts Khadim toward a more self-sufficient operating model. Store teams now possess the independent capability to manage profile updates, employee mapping, and localized promotional configurations such as prepaid discounts and gift offers. This transition is critical as the brand targets a significant increase in online sales contribution, aiming for a 10 per cent revenue mix from digital channels in the coming year, up from current levels of approximately 3 – 4 per cent.
Navigating market volatility with technology
While the retail sector faces cautious consumer sentiment - reflected in Khadim's Q3 FY26 revenue of Rs 86.2 crore - the brand is leveraging technology to mitigate inventory risks. The deployment focuses on warehouse dispute reconciliation and automated workflows to reduce inventory days, which recently improved from 131 to 117 days. By optimizing these backend efficiencies, Khadim aims to defend its EBITDA margins, which are projected to stabilize between 14–14.5 per cent as the brand pivots toward an asset-light, franchise-heavy expansion strategy.
Affordable footwear specialist
Khadim operates as a leading Indian footwear retailer, specializing in the ‘affordable fashion’ segment across 864 stores. The company maintains a strong presence in Tier-II and Tier-III cities through an asset-light franchise model, which now accounts for 76 per cent of its network.
Historically a value-focused brand, Khadim is currently prioritizing premiumization through sub-brands like British Walkers and Sharon, alongside a strategic partnership with Skechers to capture high-growth athleisure demand.
