Indian menswear brand The Bear House has opened its debut retail store in Chandigarh. This 1,600 sq ft high street outlet marks a new and significant phase in the brand's retail expansion strategy.
The store's interiors combine an elevated, European-inspired aesthetic with a welcoming, communal atmosphere. The design integrates earthy textures and warm tones, creating a relaxing environment.
A standout feature is a lounge area placed adjacent to the fitting rooms, offering customers a space to relax. According to the co-founders, this element reflects the brand's emphasis on community and comfort.
Harsh and Tanvi Somaiya, Co-Founders, state, the store's cave-like architecture was specifically designed to offer an immersive customer experience focused on comfort, design, and community. Founded in 2017, The Bear House has carved out a niche in India’s menswear market by focusing on minimalism, precision, and timeless design. The label offers a wide range of essentials, including shirts, polos, and t-shirts, denim and outerwear, boxers and accessories
The brand gained increased visibility following its appearance on Shark Tank India Season 4. While maintaining a strong presence on major e-commerce platforms including Myntra, Ajio, Flipkart, and Amazon, the new Chandigarh store is a key step in their ongoing efforts to grow their physical retail footprint and engage directly with their customer base.
