Kankatala Sarees has launched its first fusion wear collection comprising a range of lehengas. The range includes 25 handwoven lehengas in real gold zari. Each lehenga, choli, and dupatta celebrates handlooms from weaving cultures across India including Paithani, Kanchipuram, and Bandhani among others. The collection is priced between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 6 lakh.
The range will be launched at the brand’s ‘Queens of Kankatala’ store in New Delhi from January 10 to 11.It will be further launched at the brand’s Kankatala Sarees’ stores in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and New Delhi as well as on its dedicated e-commerce store.
Kankatala Sarees was established by Kankatala Appalaraju in 1943. The brand currently has 13 brick-and-mortar stores. It aims to mix contemporary saree styles with traditional craftsmanship.
