Payal Singhal’s Travelling Trunk Show pop-up goes overseas to DUBAI

Ready-to-wear designer Payal Singhal has brought her ‘PS Travelling Trunk Show’ to Dubai and has launched her latest collection ‘Suroor’ at multi-brand boutique The Rack by Kachins in Jumeirah.
Payal Singhal’s pop-up in Dubai marks the restarting of the brand’s international pop-up schedule after the pandemic caused a pause, the brand announced on Facebook.
Along with men’s and women’s festive collection Suroor, Payal Singhal has brought along “best sellers” from previous collections ‘The New Normal’ and ‘Kismet’ to the pop-up shop to give Dubai’s shoppers a chance to browse the lines for the first time.
New collection Suroor features a wide array of occasion wear for the winter wedding season along with versatile fusion-style garments. Heavy embroidery featuring flora and fauna, delicate chiffon, metallic polka dots, and the brand’s signature tassel details create a more refined take on Singhal’s classic bohemian style.
Menswear includes tailored sherwanis, womenswear features sarees and sets, and colours include royal blue, silver, pastel pink, and champagne. The line is available at The Rack this week.
As Dubai has a large Indian ex-pat community, it is a popular destination for Indian luxury brands to hold pop-up shops.
Travel restrictions caused by the pandemic caused a hiatus for shopping events but the country is beginning to allow international pop-ups once again.
