Fabindia launches first upcycled collection from fabric scraps

2nd October 2021, Mumbai:

Ethnic wear and lifestyle brand Fabindia has launched its first collection titled Punh.

As per a Fashion Network news, the collection reuses and upcycles fabric scraps into a range of men’s, womenswear, and accessories for the festive season. The collection has been launched on FabIndia’s dedicated e-commerce store and features a selection of sarees, kurtas, and dresses for women and shirts and trousers for men. It also includes accessories including face masks and handbags, all made with patchwork scraps of complimentary textiles. The collection is a part of FabIndia’s move towards a more sustainable production process.

The collection taps into the rising trend of sustainable fashion that gained more momentum during the two lockdowns of 2020 and 2021 along with the increased focus on buying domestically made fashion.

The brand also recently launched its ‘Dhurrie Exhibition’ at select stores. The curated selection of traditional woven floor coverings celebrates the traditional handicraft and its signature designs as FabIndia continues to expand its homeware collections.
