Asics promises to help India's young athletes

Asics, a Japanese sportswear company, has begun a program to help young athletes in the nation by giving them the performance equipment and support they need to compete at the top level.

The sports major will aim to increase its focus on the sport of wrestling and supply clothing, footwear, and other performance gear to young players. In the presence of star wrestler and Asics brand ambassador Bajrang Punia, the announcement was made at the Asics India Connaught Place store.

“India is continuously generating great wrestlers with a presence on global stages and therefore, an even better moment for wrestling to thrive as a popular sport,” Bajrang Punia said in a statement. 

Knowing that the Asics brand is behind me is a big boost in terms of seeing my vision for wrestling in India become a shape.” “At Asics, we are committed to supporting sports and enabling young athletes of today to become the Bajrangs of tomorrow,” said Rajat Khurana, managing director of Asics India.

We aim to take sports and athletics to new heights and increase their awareness so that young people may accomplish their sporting goals.” Asics first opened a store in India in 2015, and it now has over 55 locations across the nation. It also sells on popular e-commerce sites such as Flipkart, Myntra, and Amazon.
