Gaurav Gupta organizes Quantam Entanglement’ with Chivas Luxe Collective

14 August 2025, Mumbai
Presented in partnership with Chivas Luxe Collective Perfumes, Gaurav Gupta's 'Quantum Entanglement' Bridal Couture Show proved to be an immersive and multi-sensory experience that redefined the modern Indian wedding. Held on August 8, 2025, in Mumbai, the event was a landmark moment for the couturier as it marked the debut of his first-ever bridal couture line.
The collection, ‘Quantam Entanglement’ was inspired by the quantum physics theory that two particles remain eternally connected, regardless of distance. Gupta used this as a poetic metaphor for the sacred and timeless bond of marriage, translating the idea into couture through mirrored silhouettes, dual-toned pairings, and embroidery that echoed shared memories.
The garments were a blend of Indian textile mastery and futuristic innovation. They included brocades handwoven in Banaras over a period of 200 days, embroidered with crystal webs and gilded zari, French Chantilly lace reimagined into futuristic forms and intricate detailing with semi-precious stones, mother-of-pearl inlays, and 3D florals.
The show featured a range of colors, from rich vermilion reds to more ethereal pastel creations in blush, sage, and ecru. Gupta's iconic cascading lehenga silhouette was reborn in gilded Banarasi brocade, and he also introduced a groomswear capsule.
Actors Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra closed the show, embodying the vision of a modern bride and groom. Chivas Luxe Collective Perfumes was the title partner for the show. The collaboration was described as a ‘perfect marriage of bold design and bold notes.’According to Pulkith Modi, Head-Marketing ( International Brands), Pernod Ricard India, the partnership was a natural fit, as both brands embody modern luxury and celebrate moments of splendor and indulgence, such as Indian weddings.
The event itself was an immersive journey for over 500 guests, guiding them through three interconnected spaces: a cocktail hour, the wedding vows, and a reception. This multi-sensory approach aligned with the brand's focus on creating an opulent and memorable experience.
The show also featured other significant partnerships, including Italian luxury shoemaker Rene Caovilla on a seven-piece capsule collection. The iconic serpentine shoes were re-imagined with Indian brocades and embellishments. As the exclusive beauty partner, Nykaa Luxe crafted high-impact, architectural makeup looks for the models that complemented the couture. The show also included over 30 diamond jewelry pieces from Forevermark, curated to echo the movement and silhouette of the garments.
