The retail trajectory of premium lifestyle venture backed by Senco Gold & Diamonds, Sennes, reached a significant milestone this week with the launch of its 12th national outlet at Gaur City Mall, Noida. Spanning 670 sq ft, the company-owned store signals a deliberate shift towards a consolidated ‘design-led lifestyle’ format that decouples lab-grown diamonds (LGDs) from their status as mere gemstone alternatives. By integrating high-grade Top-Grain leather accessories and artisanal fragrances into a singular retail environment, Sennes is capitalizing on a 30 per cent projected revenue growth for its parent company, which is on track to cross the Rs 8,000 crore valuation mark by the end of fiscal 2026.
Navigating market volatility through product hybridization
The expansion comes amidst a broader sectoral shift where rising bullion prices - peaking at approximately Rs 140,000 per 10 grams in late 2025 - have redirected consumer interest toward studded and lab-grown categories. Sennes’ strategy leverages this ‘value-conscious luxury’ trend, utilizing SGS-certified leather and reach-compliant fittings to appeal to the modern, design-aware consumer. Noida represents a critical urban hub where shoppers increasingly view jewellery, leather, and fragrance as a cohesive expression of identity, notes Joita Sen, Director, Senco Gold & Diamonds. This hybridized retail model serves as a buffer against gold price volatility, maintaining a steady 500-SKU weekly innovation cycle to sustain high footfall and regional engagement.
Lifestyle integration strategy
Launched in 2024 as a Senco Gold & Diamonds initiative, Sennes blends ethical lab-grown jewelry with Italian-designed leather goods and fragrances. Operating 12 urban stores, the brand targets a Rs 100 crore niche within Senco’s Rs 8,000 crore ecosystem. With 20+ store openings planned for 2027, it anchors Senco’s premium diversification beyond traditional gold retail.
