China & Bangladesh 'Top importers of swimwear into the US, Jan'22'

Swimwear imports from the United States surged 32.36 percent in January of this year, despite some substantial hiccups in the tally. Apparel Resources analyzed OTEXA statistics and discovered that the United States imported US $ 175.50 million in swimwear in the first month of 2022, 45.76 percent of which originated from China!
China sent US $ 80.32 million in swimwear to the United States, a rise of 70.43 percent and a tremendous gain in market share from just 35.45 percent in January of this year.

In January of this year, Vietnam's swimsuit exports to the United States remained stagnant, with just a 2.85 percent year-on-year increase and export profits of US $ 40.98 million.
Bangladesh surged from sixth to third place, owing to US $ 11.84 million in swimsuit imports from the United States. Bangladesh had a huge 136.33 percent increase in swimsuit shipments to the United States in January of this year.

Indonesia (US $ 9.89 million; down 6%), Cambodia (US $ 6.75 million; up 20.82%), Sri Lanka (US $ 5.92 million; up 42.75%), and Egypt (US $ 3.17 million; down 41.91%) were all outperformed by the country.
