Amazon Fashion India makes leadership changes

Amazon Fashion India is making certain leadership changes within the company. The e-tailer has appointed Saurabh Srivastava as its new head as its current head Arun Sirdeshmukh has quit the company.

Similarly, the e-commerce major has transferred Puneet Gupta, Category Leader-Men, Women and Kids apparels to another position within the company. Since long, it has been trying to catch up with Flipkart and Myntra in the fashion vertical, one of the biggest categories leading the e-commerce charge in India.

Currently, Amazon Fashion offers stylish clothes, shoes, and accessories for men and women. It offers everything from kid’s backpacks to snow boots, plus everyday essentials for baby.

Analyst Bain & Co expects India’s e-retail business to increase by 30 per cent annually over the next five years to touch $100-120 billion. According to them, fashion will play an important role in this growth and chart similar trajectories in China and the US.
