Retailers Association of India (RAI) and Trust for Retailers & Retail Associates of India (TRRAIN) have teamed up to implement new diversity, equity, and inclusion policies with RAI-registered retailers.

The two associations will collaborate on the identification and mapping of job roles at different levels within the industry, appropriate to the type of disability.

They will also encourage retailers to employ more TRRAIN certified Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates at entry and other level jobs over the next five years.

Since 80 percent of retail jobs are customer-facing, employing PwDs will help create more awareness at a large level, says BS Nagesh, Founder, TRRAIN.

The Souled Store has launched its new store at the Infiniti Mall in Malad, Mumbai.

*This is the brand’s fifth store in Mumbai.

It had earlier opened stores in Colaba, Bandra, Lower Parel, and Thane.

Besides housing menswear and women’s wear, luxury brand Tarun Tahiliani’s new flagship store in Mumbai’s Dubash House will have dedicated segments for bridal attire and a brand archive.

Tahiliani’s new store has been designed in collaboration with Divya Thakur of Design Temple and features quotes, inspiration, and ephemera accompanying the brand’s clothing.

The store’s bridal fitting rooms are designed to welcome brides-to-be and their families to offer a private shopping experience.

Tahiliani says the store’s tone reflects modern Indian philosophy.

To be held in London, UK, the seventh edition of India Fashion Week will showcase a wide range of Indian designers to a British and Asian audience.

The main runway event for India Fashion Week 2022 will take place on November 20 at Novotel London.
