Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) has announced the appointment of Pranchal Srivastava as Chief Business Officer for The Collective and International Brands, effective late February 2026. This tactical leadership integration comes as ABFRL seeks to consolidate its dominance in India’s high-growth luxury segment, which reported a 13 per cent revenue rise in the latest fiscal quarter. Previously a Senior Vice President in the Chairman’s Office, Srivastava will now steer the P&L and strategic expansion for a portfolio that includes marquee franchise partnerships with Ralph Lauren, Ted Baker, Fred Perry, and Hackett. His mandate involves accelerating omni-channel capabilities and scaling The Collective’s physical footprint, which currently spans over 20 premium destinations across Tier I and Tier II cities.
Capitalizing on the ‘Luxury Industrial Revolution’
The appointment coincides with a broader sectoral shift toward premiumization, as Indian conglomerates compete to capture an affluent consumer base projected to triple by 2030. ABFRL’s luxury division is leveraging early ‘green shoots’ in consumer sentiment, characterized by higher average transaction values and a preference for international stylistic parity. To navigate inflationary pressures and rising operational costs, the company is intensifying its focus on data-driven inventory management and high-margin ‘bridge-to-luxury’ offerings. We are moving beyond prestige imports to building a sustainable, global-ready infrastructure, stated a senior executive during the group’s recent strategic dialogue, signaling that ABFRL is transitioning from a retail aggregator to a definitive style mentor in the Indian subcontinent.
ABFRL is India’s leading fashion conglomerate with a multi-segment portfolio ranging from value retail (Pantaloons) to ultra-luxury (The Collective). Operating over 1,160 stores across 7.5 million sq ft, the firm reported FY25 revenues of Rs 7,355 crore. Its growth strategy focuses on aggressive digital transformation and high-end ethnic wear partnerships with iconic designers like Sabyasachi.
