A domestic fashion apparel brand, Cantabil Retail India has targeted revenues worth over Rs 1,000 crore by FY27. To achieve this, the company plans to expand its retail footprint, particularly in Tier II and Tier III markets besides leveraging its vertically integrated manufacturing setup.

Currently operating over 600 stores across India, Cantabil plans to open 70 to 80 new stores annually. Through this expansion, the brand aims to explore underserved markets, where demand for branded apparel is steadily growing.

A key component of the company's operational model is its in-house manufacturing unit, which produces over 25 per cent of its merchandise. This setup allows Cantabil to control product quality, manage costs, and improve supply chain efficiency - factors that are increasingly vital in the competitive fashion retail segment.

Shivender Nigam, CFO of Cantabil Retail India, states, more than just a backbone, the company’s manufacturing capabilities are a growth engine. Having end-to-end control from design to distribution enables it to stay agile, manage margins efficiently, and deliver consistent quality across all markets.

Beyond physical store expansion, Cantabil is also investing in its digital presence. The company is revamping its product mix to appeal to younger consumers and enhancing its e-commerce capabilities. Its product categories include men’s, women’s, and children's wear, with additional emphasis on accessories to drive higher average transaction values.
