IKEA India names Patrik Antoni as new CEO

IKEA India has named Patrik Antoni as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 2025. This strategic leadership change comes as the Swedish home furnishings giant gears up for its next significant phase of expansion across the country.

A seasoned IKEA veteran, Antoni brings over two decades of experience within the company. He previously served as the Deputy CEO, IKEA India, where he played a crucial role in the initial setup and growth. In his expanded new role, Antoni will lead IKEA's retail operations and coordinate key functions across all Ingka Group companies in India.

The company also plans to recruit a new retail manager is currently underway following the departure of Susanne Pulverer, who has decided to step down from her role and exit IKEA after a distinguished 28-year career with the company.

This leadership realignment underscores IKEA’s significant bet on India's robust economic momentum. The company has been actively scaling its operations by introducing both large-format stores and smaller, city-centric formats, while also strengthening its online channels to enhance reach to more urban households nationwide.
