Pernia’s shopping fair will be held in Mumbai, February 10 to 11, 2023.
The pop-up shop will present a wide array of bridal wear for the upcoming wedding season at its business-to-customer shopping fair. The showcase will include bridal wear, occasion wear, jewellery, and accessories from both up-and-coming and established Indian designers and labels.
The event is designed to offer brides a one-stop shop for their wedding needs and give brands a platform from which to launch their latest designs. Pernia’s Pop-Up Studio runs an e-commerce site and has flagship stores in a number of Indian metros, including Ahmedabad and Mumbai, as well as in the UK.
The brand was launched by designer and entrepreneur Pernia Qureshi and then acquired by Purple Style Labs in 2018.Purple Style Labs aims at creating a platform for Indian fashion, which is currently highly fragmented across designers. The company aims at expanding its footprint geographically and further growing in the Indian luxury retail space.
With the festive and wedding season in India, the demand for luxury Indian and western wear is seeing a considerable spike. The fashion industry is slated to see exponential growth this year. India’s apparel market is the sixth largest in the world, comparable to the United Kingdom’s and Germany’s.
