Sustainability

12 September 2022, Mumbai:

BGMEA, in partnership with Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE), is going to organize the first-ever weeklong event “Made in Bangladesh Week” during 12-18 November 2022 in Dhaka to celebrate the progress being made in the industry and to chart the way forward.

Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh has kindly consented to inaugurate the event as the Chief Guest.

Under the umbrella of MIB week, BGMEA is going to organize three competitions. One of the competitions is “The Sustainability Leadership Award (TSL)’” to be held on November 17, 2022, in collaboration with GIZ. The objective of this award ceremony is to showcase the best practices of the RMG industry in Bangladesh in front of a global audience.

The week-long mega event will accommodate a number of programs, which will be portraying the development of Bangladesh as a country and the readymade garment industry, as well as what should be our strategic direction aiming for the bigger vision.
