Punjab industry finds investment in J&K incentives lucrative for textile, apparel

A delegation of garment and textile industry professionals recently visited Jammu and Kashmir to evaluate potential industrial investment opportunities. After discussions with various departments of the J&K government, the delegation reported that the incentives on offer were more attractive than those in Punjab.
The delegation plans to inform other business associations about the benefits and encourage those interested to submit a formal expression of interest to the government.
The visit was deemed successful by Knitwear and Apparel Exporters Organisation, that plans to present a formal expression of interest to the J&K governor.
Currently, about a dozen industrialists have expressed their desire to invest, with more expected to follow.
