Designer TarunTahiliani has opened a boutique in Bangalore. This boutique is the brand’s newest store in the country and adds to the label’s list of other stores, which are located in Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
A tribute to TarunTahiliani’s signature India Modern design philosophy, the boutique in Bangalore features original tiled floors, stone mosaics, handmade carpets, and a Tree of Life wall, featuring embroideries that represent the finesse of the atelier’s style.
For the launch, a colossal LED screen presented a stream-of-consciousness video. The tree in the aangan of the store is symbolic of the garden city, with its diverse energy.
The entire range of TarunTahiliani products for both men and women – including couture, ready-to-wear, occasion-wear, accessories, jewelry, and heritage textiles – are showcased across the sprawling 4,500 sq. ft. store. The collections have their own dedicated space – the drapes, the fashion collections, the men’s wear room, and the saribar and accessories room.
At the center of all this is the courtyard, wrapped by a painted banyan, with motifs from embroidery studios, the couture/bridal core of the brand. TarunTahiliani brand pillars are showcased within the boutique – chikankari, zardozi on the frame, the fine art of draping, and the soldering techniques used in the label’s highfashion.
