Lee expands presence across India

27 October 2022, Mumbai:

Lee has opened three new stores; one in Sikar in Rajasthan, Patna in Bihar, and in Dhanbad in Jharkhand. The three stores retail a wide variety of denim and casual wear for men and women along with accessories and lifestyle items.

The stores are also omni-channel enabled to mix online and offline features. The US-based denim brand is expanding its presence in Tier II and III cities as India license holder Ace Turtle rolls out an ambitious brick-and-mortar expansion plan.

As of now, Ace Turtle has opened 80 stores of Lee and Wrangler on a franchise model across Tier I, II, and III cities in India. US-based business Kontoor Brands tied up with e-commerce enabler Ace Turtle in 2020 as its India license partner to retail Lee, as well as denim brand Wrangler, in the Indian market.

Kontoor is Lee’s parent company. In June this year, the business announced that it plans to increase its total stores for both Lee and Wrangler from 40 to over 140 by March 2023.
