GOTS: To launch a new pilot project in Bangladesh

GOTS marks its 20th anniversary with an all-time high in certified facilities.

GOTS, participating brands, and the Initiative on Global Solidarity (IGS) of GIZ, the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles (PST) intend to launch a pilot project in Bangladesh to engage brands and suppliers in dialogue on gender equality.

The goal of this project in Bangladesh is to help brands and suppliers to engage in discourse on gender equality with special attention to issues of gender-based violence and harassment.

GOTS supports gender equality through our strict social criteria and approaches included in our standard.

Just like GIZ and PST, it aims at raising awareness, encouraging constant exchange, start dialogue concerning the equal involvement of women and men, as well as girls and boys!

Together, it wants to ensure greater global gender equality in the long term!
