Go Fashion India reports 22.4% Y-o-Y decline in net profit during Q1, FY26

05 August 2025, Mumbai

Owner of the popular brand’ Go Colors,’ Go Fashion (India) reported a 22.4 per cent Y-o-Y decline in net profit totaling Rs 22.2 crore in Q1, FY26.

The company attributed this dip in profitability to disruptions in the Large Format Store (LFS) channel and logistics delays caused by a route blockade in Bangladesh. Despite these challenges, the company’s revenue increased by 1.4 per cent Y-o-Y to Rs 223 crore. Their operating profit (EBITDA) also contracted by 4.2 per cent to Rs 69 crore, with margins shrinking to 31 per cent from 33 per cent.

Despite the early pressures, the company saw some recovery later in the quarter, particularly during the End-of-Season Sale (EOSS). This helped expand gross margins to 63 per cent, supported by lower input costs and an improved product mix. The average selling price (ASP) also increased to Rs 805, reflecting a strategic shift toward value-added and premium products.

However, same-store sales growth (SSSG) for its exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) was negative at -2 per cent, indicating a decline in sales from existing stores. The company did show some regional strength, with same-cluster sales growing by 1.4 per cent. Go Fashion also added 27 new EBOs during the quarter, bringing its total store count to 803, and remains on track to open around 120 new stores in FY26.

In an effort to diversify, the company has started piloting new segments, including women’s topwear and select menswear, in a few stores. Its first international store in Dubai also showed encouraging early results.
