According to reports, the buildings were utilized for shirt production and storage. According to police sources, the victim's body had no obvious burn injuries, thus he may have died of asphyxia.

The actual cause of death will be determined by a post-mortem examination. Around 3 a.m., the fire department received a report about a manufacturing fire, and six fire tenders were dispatched to the scene. The fire tenders were unable to reach the specific spot since the factory was located on a tight street, according to police.

"On the factory's first level, a guy subsequently identified as Sanju was discovered unconscious. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahadra) R. Sathiyasundaram, he was taken to a nearby hospital and proclaimed dead. "Further legal action will be taken based on the Fire Department's report," he stated.
