Gokaldas Images Jagadish Naraindas Hinduja, the longest serving director passes away. He was not keeping well for the last few months.

Jagadish Hinduja, who is succeeded by his wife Pushpa Hinduja and two sons Sumeer and Munish, was a visionary who was one of the most revered persons in the Indian apparel industry and leaves a big void in this trade that is hard to fill.

The longest serving directors currently on board are Jagadish Naraindas Hinduja and Sumeer Jagadish Hinduja who were appointed on 01 February 1995.

They have been on the board for more than 27 years. The most recently appointed director is Sunil Raheja Vasudev, who was appointed on 24 March 2021.

Gokaldas Intimatewear Private Limited, a joint venture between Banagalore-based Gokaldas Images group and French lingerie company Barbara, formally launched its Enamor brand bras and panties.

SIGA Fair: Held On July 26-28

South India Apparel Association organized three-day garments fair in Bengaluru from July 26 to 28.

The 27th South India Garment Fair was inaugurated by Sri BC Shivakumar, Managing Director of BS Channabasappa & Sons, G R Akadas, IRDS, Director, MSME DFO, Government of India, and Ms. Kavya Shetty, model, and movie actress. The three-day event was held at Princess Shrine, Palace Ground.

According to South India Garments Manufacturers and Wholesalers Association president Anurag Singhla, Bengaluru is 'The gateway of South India', Andhra, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala look at Bengaluru for anything required and Bengaluru offers good potential for the garment industry.

Stating that Bengaluru has the best infrastructure for the manufacturing industry and it is the hub for manufacturing men's casuals, and there are thousands of garment factories manufacturing men's casuals, Anurag Singha said that they need support from the association and the government.

Making a grand opening in its northern base, Gartex Texprocess India New Delhi 2022 was inaugurated by eminent dignitaries including Shri Upendra Prasad Singh, Secretary - Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and Mr Sunil Sethi, Chairman, Fashion Design Council of India. As a high-value business platform, the trade fair hosts 200 plus exhibitors with over 1,000 products and machinery from varied sectors.
