Crombie, the British heritage brand, has been purchased for an unknown value by a newly established corporation funded by private investors.

Crombie 1805 is directed by MD Gordon Ritchie, who has the support of a number of private investors.

Brown Rudnick, in particular, counseled the acquirers. Gordon allegedly informed the media that he wants to give Crombie a fresh lease of life, as well as raise the heritage brand's global prominence.

Gordon praised the company for its incredible history, saying it was gratifying to be able to carry on the tradition of one of the world's most recognisable companies.

Crombie & Fitch, established in London, is recognised for its jackets, suits, and fashion accessories.
