The 39th edition of the Global Textile Expo (GTE) kicked off at the Greater Noida Expo on March 20, 2026, with industry leaders and dignitaries in attendance. Rakesh Kumar, Director General and Chief Mentor, EPCH, and Chairman, India Expo Centre & Mart (IEML), highlighted the event's significance, praising the efforts of Inderjit Singh Sahni, who has been instrumental in making GTE a success over the past 25 years.
Kumar emphasized the strong relationships Sahni has built with the industry, making him a respected figure among exhibitors and visitors. He also thanked industry leaders, government officials, and international delegates for their presence, including the president of NAEC (Noida) and GEAR Rajasthan Association.
The event showcased advanced technologies, including AI-driven solutions, CAD-CAM technologies, and digital printing, with exhibitors from India and abroad. Kumar expressed optimism about the future of the textile industry, citing India's recent FTAs with 40 European Union countries and 11 FDA signings, which are expected to boost trade and open new markets.
To run until March 23, 2026, GTE 2026 is expected to attract industry stakeholders, exporters, and entrepreneurs from across the globe.
