India Beach Fashion Week will be held in Goa, January 21 to 22, 2023.The fashion event will present a wide array of resort and swimwear from designers hailing from across India.

Run as both a business-to-business and a business-to-customer event, the fashion week aims to bring together designers, brands, creatives, and exhibitors in the beach, resort, and travel destination wear categories to network and showcase their latest collections while increasing brand awareness among the general public.

The event is designed to go beyond fashion and build a large-scale platform for lifestyle tourism around Goa. The fashion week will harness the popularity and gravitas of participating designers to promote beach and resort lifestyle and entertainment as well as travel destinations in Goa to boost tourism in the area.

At one time resort wear was limited to inter-season, capsule collections.The market was always small and niche, with well-seasoned travelers supplementing their vacation wardrobes with pieces from their trips abroad. It is now a full-fledged industry, the sole focus of many brands and designers, and available all year round.

Goa has always attracted its fair share of international hippies, hipsters, and luxury seekers. Today it’s evolved into one of the hottest destinations for domestic tourists looking to plan getaways over long weekends. It’s no longer limited to the seasonal visits of foreign visitors and has become a year-round destination.

Manish Malhotra will open his flagship store in Dubai Mall in the summer of 2023.

The designer already has several stores in different Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad. He has a retail partner in London. Since the year 2018, he has launched four new verticals - Manish Malhotra jewellery, Manish Malhotra beauty, a film production company, and home decor.

Indian fashion designer and luxury couturier Manish Malhotra has always enjoyed designing a sari. Over the years, he has constructed several styles of the six-yard staple. Brides dream of tying the knot in a Manish Malhotra lehenga or an anarkali. His styles are very, very, young and contemporary, with a lot of off-shoulders, palazzos, and the collection is a fusion of global styles crafted with an Indian aesthetic.

Manish Malhotra started his career in 1990 as a costume designer in films. He is a favorite when it comes to styling India's most glamorous celebrities.His areas of creativity span the broad spheres of Hindi films, design, styling, diffusion and bridal and couture. Grazia Young Fashion Awards 2022 were held in Mumbai. Celebrating the future of design, the prestigious award ceremony recognized and honoured the rising stars of the fashion world. The awardees were from among 18 different categories.

Among the requirements for those applying are that labels should be four years old or younger, should retail from multiple stores, one store, shop-in-shops, websites, and Facebook/Instagram pages or should have released at least one collection/line. Designers could be those who have showcased at pre-eminent fashion weeks, exhibitions and other platforms. Designers could also be from Grazia's popular editorial section, Label Alert, which identifies young designers whose labels are under a year old.

The star-studded ceremony, held with pomp and opulence, felicitated the boldest and the brightest from the fashion world and celebrated and honoured talent under different fashion categories such as jewellery, indie cool, urbanwear, men’s wear, traditionalist, accessories and sustainable. The event introduced the country to the winners who broke boundaries and conventions with their thought-provoking designs. Furthermore, the ceremony also put a spotlight on fashion trendsetters from the entertainment world.

Sixty malls are lined up to become operational in seven Indian cities between 2023 and 2025.

Mumbai, the financial capital of the country, will have only ten per cent of this new retail space. The other malls will come up at Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, and the National Capital Region. Delhi NCR and Bangalore will account for the major part with a 53 per cent share in the upcoming supply. Hyderabad will get about 17 per cent of the new retail space, compared to ten per cent each in Mumbai and Pune. Chennai and Kolkata will have six per cent and four per cent of the 23.25 million sqft of area respectively.

In 2023 alone as many as 25 malls are set to be launched across the top seven cities of India.Leasing demand for sectors such as food and beverage, electronics, jewellery, athleisure, casual clothing, formal wear, accessories, and beauty and cosmetics is increasing.

The introduction of new entertainment categories and the removal of Covid-related limitations led to the entertainment category, including multiplexes, enjoying a robust comeback in business beginning in March 2022.

There has been a churning of brands and categories in existing shopping malls to help keep up with changing customer demands and accommodate newer global businesses.

India Fashion Awards was held in New Delhi, December 13, 2022.

The third edition played host to the launch of a new fashion fund to help entrepreneurs in the sector get started. The event also celebrated designers and industry players with awards for craftsmanship, handloom, and more.
