Top designers rally to transform lives of 300 street children

20 November 2025, Mumbai

India’s top designers, including Shantanu & Nikhil, Varun Bahl, and JJ Valaya, anchored the 15th annual ‘Fashion For A Cause 2025’ event today, uniting the worlds of high fashion and philanthropy with a bold promise: to transform the lives of 300 street children across Delhi NCR.

Hosted by Lakshyam NGO at The Dhan Mill, the star-studded runway became a platform to raise vital funds for the education, care, and overall well-being of marginalized children and women. Celebrities like Saba Pataudi, Dr. Blossom Kochhar, and Kathak exponent Shovana Narayan walked the ramp alongside the beneficiary children, amplifying the cause.

Lakshyam Founder Rashi Anand emphasized the event's powerful mission, stating, "Fashion For A Cause is much more than a fashion event—it is a movement of hope." This sentiment was echoed by designer Varun Bahl, who remarked that fashion "has meaning when it uplifts lives."

The focus this year is on raising support for Lakshyam centers in Delhi NCR, targeting communities struggling with unsafe housing, begging, and rag-picking. By channeling the energy and visibility of the fashion world, the initiative aims to break the cycle of poverty, building on Lakshyam’s legacy of enrolling over 4,000 children into schools and empowering 11,000 women.
