This strategic alignment occurs as the fine jewelry sector witnesses a shift toward ‘everyday luxury,’ where consumers prioritize wearable, contemporary designs over traditional heavy investments. By leveraging Dhar’s cross-regional appeal, CaratLane aims to deepen its penetration into Tier-II and Tier-III markets, where aspirational demand for hallmarked gold and diamond jewelry is currently growing at a CAGR of 15 per cent.
Omnichannel synergy and the post-Titan integration
The appointment follows Titan’s increased stake in the company, providing CaratLane with the fiscal runway to execute high-decibel marketing campaigns. Industry analysts suggest that this celebrity-led strategy is designed to synchronize physical store footfall with digital engagement; currently, 70 per cent of the brand's customer journeys originate online before concluding in one of its 270-plus stores. The goal is to humanize the digital-first experience," noted a retail strategy analyst. Dhar’s persona aligns with the brand’s 2026 mandate to double its presence in the affordable luxury segment, particularly among working professionals.

As HK Jewels and other domestic players scale their lightweight collections, CaratLane’s move to enlist a brand ambassador functions as a defensive and offensive maneuver to maintain its 40 percent market share in the online-to-offline jewelry space. The partnership is expected to anchor the upcoming festive and wedding season collections, which typically contribute to nearly 35 percent of annual turnover. By focusing on storytelling that highlights "modern milestones," the brand is effectively insulating itself against fluctuating gold prices by emphasizing design value and brand equity over pure commodity weight.
